Plain-language summary
Cheetools is designed to process device and gaming information locally. It does not require an account, does not sell personal information, and does not use advertising trackers. The website requests GitHub’s public release API to display aggregate APK download counts.
Information handled by the app
The app may read Android version, device model, display capabilities, memory and storage status, thermal status, supported graphics capabilities, installed applications you choose to add, selected game profiles, session timestamps, permission status, Shizuku connection status, and optimization/restore results.
These values are used to show the dashboard, determine compatibility, execute requested operations, create restore points and diagnose failures. Settings, game selections, transaction records and sanitized logs may be stored locally on your device.
Permission use
- Notifications and policy access: active-session status and optional gaming DND.
- Shizuku: narrowly allowlisted shell operations for Game Mode and intervention settings.
- Usage access: foreground-game/session detection when enabled.
- Display over other apps: optional sidebar and overlay features.
- Installed-app visibility: selecting and launching games.
You can deny or revoke optional access from Android Settings. Related features will stop working.
Storage and retention
Local app data remains until you delete history, clear app storage or uninstall Cheetools. Active restore information may be retained long enough to recover an interrupted transaction. Website hosting logs are controlled by the hosting provider’s retention configuration.
Security
Privileged inputs are package-validated and restricted to allowlisted values. Before a reversible operation, Cheetools captures its original value and verifies read-back after writing. No software can guarantee perfect security; install releases only from this official website.
Children
Cheetools is a general utility and is not directed toward collecting personal information from children. It has no account or social features.
Your choices
You may revoke permissions, delete completed history in Restore Center, clear all application data through Android Settings, uninstall the app, or contact the developer with a privacy question. Because no Cheetools account is created, the developer generally cannot identify or delete data stored only on your phone.
Policy changes
Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
